Coaching for surgeons’ wellness

Led by Dr. Marisa Louridas, this mixed methods study investigates the implementation and impacts of a formal surgeon-to-surgeon coaching program for early career surgeons. Rooted in the principles of Self Determination Theory, this study explores if coaching can support and promote three innate needs that further overall wellness of the junior surgeons: autonomy, competence, and relatedness.
